Ellen Houlihan is an award-winning narrative and commercial film director whose work has been featured on The Huffington Post, Upworthy, Perez Hilton, Brett Ratner's social media channels and MTVu. She has received numerous honors/awards including an Emmy at the College TV Awards, acceptance to New York Film Festival's Artist Academy and Shoot Magazine's New Directors Showcase as well as a AICP Shortlist nomination and a Cannes Lions Young Director Award. Film festivals include: NYFF, Gen Art Film Fest, the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts Fest, Carmel Art & Film Fest (where Clint Eastwood is a juror), Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Corner, Chicago Comedy Film Festival and many others.

Ellen has a decade of production and development experience in both Los Angeles and New York covering major motions pictures, indie film, commercials, animation, digital and branded content featuring A-list talent.

She has studied at Art Center College of Design (MFA), Fordham University (BA) and professional training programs including Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Groundlings and UCLA's screenwriting program.

Todd Glass for GLSEN PSA has been shortlisted for the 2013 AICP Show run by The Association of Independent Commercial Producers. The ceremony will take place Thursday, June 6th at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. I'm so thrilled to screen my work at MoMA, where I spent many afternoons and evenings seeing classic and foreign films with my dad!
